We offer 3 out of 4 boarding rooms left on this Pristine 10 acre farm on Harstine Island. We already have one 60years young lady and we are looking for 3 more room mates- There will be a farmer whom farms the land and sells to the local co-op's and stores and will also have ..where folks come to get a basket of fresh food and flowers & herbs,etc/weekly. It will be a wonderful opportunity for someone who might enjoy a rural experence for a minimal cost.. we are asking a low 500$ a month for this board..The Farm is our home where we raised 4 wonderful kids whom have all gone off to college come this July/not bearing the fact we might have to sell this property & looking at the economic crisis..we have decided to use it as a boarding home offering caretaking, maintanence and the option to come and go as we please. I do have this listed under Oly with pics on Criegs List as well..with more info..have a look. The Island sits at the south-most part of the Puget Sound and is a quick 35-40 minutes to Olympia/a commute is feasible for sure & going to Silverdale,Allen,Shelton or even Bremerton is a pinch. It is off of Hwy 3 on the Map/look for Pickering Road & Jarelles Cove State Park and/or Jarelles Cove Marina or even google "The Hartstene Pointe" or "The Harstiner" it is spelled and argued about by all the Islanders (how to spell this Island)part of the charm..it is a quaint tight nit community with all kinds of good people & wild life is abundant!!** deer,racoon,fox,cougar & even a moose or elk occasionally not to mention an abundance of Eagles & birds of all kinds!! We allow pets & farm animals/ although there are no animals at this time..so it's ready to go!!..it is a rare opportunity..IT IS A MUST SEE TO APPRECIATE kind of thing..
